This is because the BPA toxins that are within the plastic that store the water, are very toxic and have no place in your body. Instead, you should try purchasing a point of use water cooler so that you can separately store your water in it tank that is convenient for you to dispense in your own home. I’ve been using this filter type in my bottled water dispenser for quite some time now. Since you don’t have any choice, for those who have a PUR pitcher you’ll likely have to buy these. People who rely on a PUR pitcher or dispenser for health reasons should certainly be especially cautious to monitor the filter life themselves. Forget about plastic jugs to recycle. I personally don’t like the flavour of plain tap water and these filters make a huge difference. Now I am saving $4.32 (11%) on pack of four. Filters work fantastic, water is clean and tastes great. Too bad they do not bottle this and sell it! Not a problem installing the filter as someone wrote. So, most likely eight out of ten times I am changing the filter before it should be needed simply because I can not stand to wait so long for this to do it is job. After buying a pitcher, the replacement filters are simple to use, fairly fast and super effective (and less expensive, like anything else, when purchased in bulk quantity).
