They say that to make money, you have to spend money. I have operated a successful online store for several years now, and I can not imagine doing anything else for a living. However, with the decline of the economy and the rising cost of postage, my business has taken a big hit. When we last journeyed to Langabaan along the west coast of South Africa, we foolishly forgot our camera at home. We do like to take pictures while we are on holiday, but decided against the idea of buying another camera in Langabaan. Fortunately we walked past a real estate office, and noticed that they had a few real estate postcards on a small table outside their office. My daughter picked one of the postcards up, and we were all really surprised to see the beautiful picture it portrayed of Langabaan. We asked the realtor how much the postcards cost, and she told us that we could take one for free. Although the picture we have of our last holiday in Langabaan does not have us in it, at least we have a picture of Langabaan. Also, if we ever decide to buy a house there, we will know exactly who to call because the estate agency details are displayed on the postcard.
